An absolute gem of a 60% keyboard.
Well, I’ve been after a small white mechanical wireless keyboard for some time now, intended. It to look at Amazon in my hunt as when you type the parameters “gaming” and “keyboard” into the search, the amount of pure rubbish that turns up is incredible. However when I read a top 10 list of 60% keyboards on a trusted review site and this guy featured, I thought I’d take a look. When it arrived I was amazed at the quality. For less than £50 I thought it was gonna be a bit cheap feeling, but actually it’s expensive feeling. It has a solid chassis, next to no deck flex or twist. The actuation of the key switch set is fantastically clicky and tactile (if that’s what you’re after), and even though it’s Bluetooth ive not noticed any discernible input latency (though I’m not a competitive shooter kinda guy or anything). I’ve been using for over a week now and apart from the initial charge, only charged it once (after 5 days of fairly heavy use), which took no time at all due to its usb-c interface, which can also be used to make it wired. The blue backlight is excellent. It can be super bright if you want, but I turn it right down to lowest and it’s still great. Each key is individually lit and can be individually turned on or off, and there are many different lighting patterns. Colour cannot change though, it’s cyan all the time, but looks really well implemented. The one I have is the American key layout, so if you’re set on UK layout then this isn’t for you, but I just changed my windows language settings to add “English (US)” as well as “English (UK)” so I had the option to change my keyboard language to match the RK61’s key layout. It’s very easy to get used to. Overall I’m extremely pleased with my purchase and would recommend anyone to give this board a go. It really did surprise me.

Beware that it is not UK layout
I didn't realise when purchasing that it did not come in UK layout, but other than that, I think this is an excellent keyboard for the price. I had previously bought premium keyboards, but needed something portable and mainly for gaming, so grabbed the RK61. The key feel is very good, I feel no real compromise next to the numerous Cherry MX keyboards I've been used too, besides them feeling maybe marginally slower, but still satisfying to use. The battery life is strong and I've had no issues when using it wireless, tho I do tend to use it wired. The lack of keys and using the shortcuts to cycle through the layouts is quite frustrating, as is the US layout, but these are only issues for when I am working - when used for gaming, these issues aren't really a problem. Overall quality is fine - nothing special, but also does not feel cheap and has worn well in the couple of years I've been using it as a secondary keyboard and being chucked in bags etc. I probably will replace it and keep it as a spare / portable keyboard, purely because of the US layout.

Purchased for gaming, does the job.
Plus points; It's exactly as described. The charging and battery life appear good though the instructions are typically badly translated Chinese to English so care is needed when first charging and using. It refers to flashing lights on the keyboard to indicate if charging or full. If the keyboard is off it won't do this (or at least the one we got doesn't), it needs to to turned ON whilst charging (switch on underside). We waited for a long time for the signal to say it was full, then tried turning it one and it indicated full immediately. Has some interesting features including illuminated keys in different patterns according to choice. Responsive and works well in gaming, certainly with PS4 Pro in our case. On the downside the keys are incredibly noisy (old school sound) reminiscent of a 90's computer, the space bar is particularly loud being a larger key anyway. My son likes this and actually prefers it to a silent, beautifully made apple full size keyboard, but hey each to their own. So to sum up, does what we wanted, reasonable price I guess, not cheap. Well made. Responsive. Only time will tell how durable it is but for about £8-00 we took up the offer of damage and fault insurance cover for three years so hopefully no worries for a while.

The Daughter loves it - US keyboard but for gaming its doesn't matter!
So we looked all over the web and Amazon for this. Having looked at what appeared to be rebranded fakes and other keyboards my daughter said she wanted this on. 'Dad this is not the fake one, its meant to be just blue!, everyone has this one!' Yes its an American layout with the $ and smaller enter key. Yes its only a Blue Led and not RGB. Yes its micro usb connected. Yes its blue switches and not the quieter brown. However she loves it. It looks great, the lights have different patterns on the start up and during use. Its well made, its a great size and it comes boxed with extra switches and tools. I paid the extra £8 for 3 years accidental damage warranty to cover against the spilt drink and duff key in 2+ years time. Getting this in total for around £67+ is still a great price when compared to other 'branded' mini keyboards out there that she looked at also. Royal Kludge, so far you look great, she states you play great also. Thanks

Good keyboard, instructions could be better
Update The seller got in touch following my review and will hopefully update the instructions. They genuinely seemed to care about our experience, which is why I've added a star. Worth noting that function key and space bar resets the keyboard. Original review Got this for my son's birthday. The instructions are truly awful. After we managed to connect it, we had two issues: 1. Some letters didn't seem to work, including letters u and I. 2.The number keys didn't work. After much research, I discovered that the keyboard has an option to use the central keys for specific commands e.g print screen. This should be turned off by default. Found the key shortcut and they worked. Similarly with the number keys, once I found the shortcut I got them working. The instructions also don't tell you how long it takes to charge and the battery life. Overall it seems to be a good keyboard let down badly by poor instructions.

Complicated to use and understand AVOID IF YOU DONT WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME
I bought this keyboard to replace my membrane keyboard and I've been using it for the better part of a year now and i regret it immensely, because of they keyboards small size there are a lot of keyboard shortcuts to utilise different functions and that's fine you need to be able to use all parts of your keyboard but the part that's not fine is that you can accidentally use these key binds when playing games or generally typing if you happen to misplace your fingers as they've put some of the keys you have to hit along with the fn key as keys you would use day to day so you could be holding fn instead of alt and accidentally change the keyboard language or its connectivity mode so your keys move around and because you weren't paying attention you have to play around for half an hour trying to fix your keyboard, at the moment i cant use the windows key because I've activated windows lock and no combination of keys I've used will fix it and a windows lock function isn't even listed on they user manual on royal kludges website so if i were you i would steer well away from this keyboard as i wish i had
