Is there a way to get a replacement screw ? I know these are pressed in so I was wondering could I just go to any local hardware store to replace it?

Not that I could find. I ended up knocking the screw out and then taking a screw and modifying it to work. Then I put a small strip of Gorilla tape on the underside of the mount over the new screw to really secure the screw in place.

Does this need a riser ?

No I did not need a riser. I have a p. rail.

Will it work on ross 44 mag rifle

It will work on most any weapon if you have the correct mounting rails.

I want to make sure that this will mount directly to a ruger 10/22 takedown model. do i need to purchase a weaver rail.

This sight is designed to mount on a standard picatinny rail. So if the mount on your preferred weapon system is not, then it may be best to purchase a corresponding mount adaptor. We have many customers who run our products on weaver rails with or without adaptors. But I would still suggest purchasing one. If done so on Amazon, its easy to return the product if its not needed.
