Very good

Too Basic
I have three problems with this book:1:The problem with any book like this is that as soon as it is published it's out of date. Although Drones for Dummies is not too bad technology even in the hobby drone sector has moved on which makes to shelf life of this book very small.2: Because there are so many drones/quads on the market any information given in the book is very basic - so we have information types of camera, basic flying, basic maintenance, what photographic/video software to use, none of it goes in-depth and none of it will help you fly your drone or edit your footage. In the end you can get more information from watching a YouTube video. book.3. The sections that could have been better such as flying a drones/ the law the book is very US centred with the UK/Other countries getting a few lines. There are also subjects not really covered such as privacy.I'd only recommend this book if you could 'put your hand on your heart' and say you know nothing about drones at all then it will give you the basics. If you own a quad the you will know most, if not everything, in this book.

A good general introduction to drones
A good general introduction to drones, sometimes deviates from the topic. As a title in the "Dummies" series, I found it to be useful.

Soon Be Outdated Information, and Very Much Centred At US Readers!
I started reading this book when I first started getting into my drone hobby. At the time, this book was really good and gave me a slight insight into the world of drones. It was very easy to read, and provided me with some useful information at the time. However there are a few flaws in this book, firstly its very centred at US Readers and covers the FAA guidelines in much detail, with brief information about the UK requirements, so not really ideal for educating UK readers. Also this book will be very soon out-dated (even for US Readers) as drone laws in many countries is changing very rapidly, and also drones are advancing incredibly fast so a lot of the information is already out-dated. So personally its not worth buying this book anymore, especially when its ยฃ17.00 (at this time). If you're looking to educate yourself on the world of drone, best place is to start is by searching online, watching online YouTube Videos or just look for a more up-to-date book.
