Game Changer for Softer Lighting
These NEEWER softboxes are a game changer when it comes to softening LED light panels. I use them for everything from self-tapes and auditions to product photography, and the light quality is noticeably smoother and more professional. Iโve always trusted NEEWER products and, as usual, had zero issues. Great value and solid build quality!

Game Changer!
I utilize 2 Neewer 660 Pro lights for fill and occasionally back lights. I love the lights but always have to dial way down on the fill light because itโs fairly harsh and casts drastic shadows. Someone suggested I look at these diffusers in lieu of the cone style as they thought these would be more forgiving and take up less space in my small studio. They couldnโt have been more right and I couldnโt be happier. This went on easily in seconds and secures tightly to the light with no obstruction to the control panel or the battery slots. Additionally, the depth is inches less than the cone style making for plenty of room to move around the light rather than having to move the light between shoots. Utility wise, fuhgedaboudit! This really cut the shadows down to nothing. Put the grid on and perfection is reached. I wish I had found these sooner but hey, better late than never. Super satisfied with the one I bought and will definitely be getting another soon for when I use the backlight as additional fill when needed.

Fantastic so long as one installs it correctly
If one watches the Neewer video on adding the softbox it says that it is recommended that the barn doors are removed prior to adding the softbox. I can confirm that, at least on the 660, in order to get the rear flaps to properly wrap around the light for a secure and leak free seal that not only must one remove the barn doors, but also the secondary mount screws that go between the barn doors and the light. I just attached bot set of barn door screws to the barn doors for storage, and keep them in the the lights case, in the original box. Once all screws are removed the softbox fits like a glove. The assembly isn't hard if one has removed the barn doors, but I do feel that the addition of the softbox and grid reduce the overall portability and assembly time of the unit a little bit. It is still very portable, quick to assemble, and far, far more effective than many reviewers who have not assembled it correctly would have one believe. The only down side is if one wants to constantly switch between the gridded softbox and barn doors, but I personally think the grid is more desirable for my needs most of the time. The grid, while not the most precision machined grid I've used is elasticized around the edge and slips on over the softbox quite nicely. I am not sure the exact beam angle of the grid, but the grid depth is about 1" and despite a few slightly curved bits at the edges works very, very well, and is decently ridged. The grid has a very noticeable impact on the softbox beam angle, and really tightens up the lights focus while keeping it a significantly softer than the light with out the softbox. Overall I think this is probably the best bang for ones buck panel light with softbox and grid combination I've found, and highly recommend it.

When good enough is good enough
I got 2 of these soft boxes to use with the Neewer 660 Pro lights and I can confirm they do fit. These offer a relatively small solution to still get a soft box effect but they're really only going to be effective in smaller spaces. They also work just fine on the somewhat flimsy stands included with the 660 Pros. I'm using these in a small studio/office I'm building, so they're perfect for me. Having said that, I take off a star for the awkward velcro install. First off, when you install these, there is a piece of tissue inside the soft box so be sure to take that off before you install. The magnetic rods that hold the box open work fine when they're in place, but can be a little finicky. You definitely will need to take off the barn doors. Some say you need to take off the entire barn door frame but I did not find this to be the case. Don't forget to re-attach the screws to the barn door frame after you remove the panels so they'll always be there when/if you need them. In terms of portability, these are small and fold down into the included bags so they're easy to carry. I'd say you should be able to install these in less than 5 minutes (and closer to 3, once you get the hang of it). Just hope you like velcro because there's a lot of it. It's not the most elegant solution, but the price is right and it gets the job done.

Pricey, but really improves the lighting for my Neewer 660 lights
Costly for what it is, but the engineering is spot on. It does exactly what it is meant to, diffusing the harsh light from the Neewer lights, and creating a really great lighting for professional streaming. Worth the cost. I am a big fan of Neewer products these days. They are generally affordable and tech forward-thinking. Sturdy too.

Work As Expected!
I brought a Neewer light box to do portraits with but I found that for the necessary brightness I needed it either hurt my eyes or made everything look very shiny. This soft box definitely helped to soften the harshness while still providing full brightness. Itโs easy to take on and off of a light box, keeps itโs shape and very light weight. One of my concerns was it was going to make my light box top heavy with the stand I currently have however that was not the case. Some soft boxes Iโve seen are huge so Iโm grateful itโs proportionate in size. It doesnโt winkle or crease easily either as I imagined so it easy to pack up when traveling and you donโt have to worry about it becoming ruined. Overall very pleased with my purchase!

It's good for the price...
The product is good enough for the price. Easy to use if you have half of a brain... You can tilt it up or down, you just need to build your support in the right way. Don't lose much stops of light from the power source if you use it in a controlled environment gets the job done. Better way to take it, don't fold it it's made for getting flat only, other wise it will not last much.
