Is there any way you can attach this to a Temperature Control system so that it only goes on when it reaches a certain temperature?

Yes you can plug it into the AC Infinity Controller unit (https://www.amazon.co.uk/AC-Infinity-CONTROLLER-Thermostat-Controller/dp/B00NG9TSG4/)

Can these be placed horizontally and still work?

Yes, they work well both horizontally and vertically. Thank you for asking Best Regards

Can you adjust flow direction

Yes you can. You need unscrew the fan units and turn them over. Easy enough to do.

where does the power supply plug in on the fan ? a picture would be grateful

There is a short USB extender connection coming out of the back of the fan unit. A long USB cable then attaches to this which has Ann integrated three speed settings controller and this USB cable attaches to the USB plug supplied. Does not seem to allow posting of photos with this reply.
