A super nice little key chain that floats and can store small items

Wish they had one for a Mercury outboard. Nevertheless my boat registration fits nicely in it and it's water tight.

It is indeed waterproof. Would buy again.

This marine keychain is made of heavy duty vinyl and is a good size (4 1/2 inches long) for visibility if dropped in the water. The blue color is bright, but isn't super obvious when actually in the water. ( a neon or yellow or orange would be the most visible). I tested the waterproof factor by putting a piece of paper of similar size and weight of a boat registration inside it, and then dropping it in a bowl of water. For 10-15 minutes (about the time that someone might drop the keychain in the water accidentally and then retrieve it) the paper remained dry inside. For an hour in the water, the paper edges were damp, but no water was pooled inside the container. For overnight (8 hours) the paper was 50% damp, but dryable and not soaked, with no water pooled inside. It seems that water seeps slowly in where to top snaps onto the bottom portion over time. It is well made, the chain is strong, and should be great for accidental drops into water with a quick retrieval.

Does what it is suppose to do. #1 floats, keeps my registration dry.
