What is the diameter of the top perch and the post itself? Thanks!

The top is 8.75 inches and the scratching post is 6 inches. My cats do not use the top as a perch and, quite frankly, I do not view it as a perch either. That said, cats are cats and some, I'm sure, will probably view it as a challenge and perch upon it.

Is there a warranty on the kitty city xl wide premium scratching post? i mean it has some pretty big claims, like cats not being able to wear it out.

I bought one of these posts February 2020 and they are absolutely the best. I have 2 cats and it is still in almost perfect condition over one year later. I am purchasing another one but not to replace the one I have, but to replace a sisal rope one that worn out after a few months. I wrote to the manufacturer to see if they had a smaller version because I have a small house but unfortunately they do not. I will find a way to squeeze it in somewhere.
