This is a custom order item only. This large piece is a ceramic representation of a coral reef including star fish, sand dollars, crab, star coral, antler coral, oysters, barnacles and fish. 12 hand made 7.5" tiles combine to make a 45" by 15" wall hanging. Hang directly on wall or have framed locally. Each tile starts with a thick rolled slab of white clay and reef pieces are hand pinched and added. Finished reef contains over 1400 bits of coral, oysters and other sea life. Kiln fired for durability. Use of white underglaze and the finest matte finish give the look of bleached coral or white bay sand to the tiles. Large angled hole in back and scored backs for use with adhesive or hanging strips. I used no molds, stamps, pottery wheels nor mass production techniques of any kind on this piece. All of my coral reef wall sculptures are hand made, unique and signed.
