My kids kept begging for a yo-yo after they did a demo at their school. The prices the school wanted were insane. I tried to wait it out to see if they would forget and they didn’t so to Amazon I went and bought two of these beauts. It’s provided hours of entertainment for a 6 & 8 year old and lots of quiet time for this momma. You can even use it as a reward system. “Clean your room and you can yo-yo for 20 minutes!”

I'm pretty familiar with brand name yoyos, but have misplaced my old ones and wanted to get back into it with a slightly less expensive price tag. Honestly, the case that comes with this yoyo is the best part, because the yoyo itself sure isn't. It does have a center bearing, which I prefer over wood hubs. However, it's really unresponsive and will stay down more than 50% of the time. I don't know if the bearing it just too good or the strange outside spinning units keep it down, but it's just not fun to use. I've also had the halves just split open mid-session, as if the bearing was static and the yoyo spun itself open. Not very heavy, so probably safe for kids.

However, with a bit of practice, I believe she will get a handle on things. If you’re looking to buy a Yo-Yo, I recommend investing in a higher-quality one that won’t break easily and can grow with your child as he/she learns tricks. It’s a great screen-free toy that children will engage with for extended periods of time.

I genuinely do not remember buying this product but it was in my recently purchased, so I guess it was one of those 3am Friday night blackout purchases, if you know you know. sure it's great though.
