Fantastic television
So far so good. It's very basic! Beaut though, very thin, low reflection, good in low to high light, sturdy stand and comes with mountable ready with the design in the back. To smart-ify it use a chrome cast or roku. Got this as a gift with these things in mine: big print, great picture, big loud sound, quality options, easy to use menu, very simple, no microphone, no apps, no smart features. It does have a Samsung app you can link to play things from your personal device but you don't have to link it or connect it to the internet. If you do connect it to the net, all that will be available is YouTube. The remote is small and is kind of like a mouse. It's hard to mess it up but occasionally you may forget how to control the volume, left and right is back/fast forward and volume is up and down. If you want to elder-ify it use like a sharpie, highlighter, or colored tape to label. It's almost impossible to see the remotes buttons in the dark. People also call this a "dumb tv" or "non-smart" TV. About the best value for the quality.

Just what I've been looking for.
Works well and has everything that I need. I did not need a tuner. I run my HDD on my USB port with a power supply and a Ruco for my Stations.

Worst deal ever on Amazon
Over the years I've bought many Samsung devices, phones, tablets. During that period I've noticed a decline in quality. I thought I could have been overly critical, but this TV proved my findings to be correct. Not only did this TV not work with my Comcast cable TV device, the remote control was really cheaply made with a half dozen buttons, some of them sticking in the depressed position, the menu software was so slow you could never be sure if it was ever going to respond. There were more less offensive deficiencies but it was enough to say USLESS, so I returned it, only to get the final insult when they informed me my refund would take 3 weeks or more. That's my final purchase from Samsung! Also, the picture was not very good and the adjustment menu's were clumsy, slow and failed to improve the picture.UPDATE: They finally issued my refund after 3 weeks!!!

Modern, but not smart. Just what I was looking for!
Arrived on time and undamaged. Found to be fully functional. Iâve been holding off on buying a new TV for years because I donât want a âsmartâ TV. I donât want/need yet another company soaking up my data. I have an external device from a company that already has all of my data (the devil you know), thatâs easily replaceable if it gets old and slow. I just want a 4k UHD screen, without the bloat, to meet the output capabilities of my gadgets. If thatâs you also, this TV is about as close as youâre going to get, and still be 4k UHD and HDR. Games and video look fantastic.

Great TV but be careful with the revision
I got this to finally upgrade from 1080p. I really wanted a dumb tv, but those don't really exist at this size in 4k anymore. This has some smarts but they are focused on business functions and there aren't any of the usual streaming apps available. It also works happily not connected to the Internet so it's as close I can get.The 55" picture is fantastic. Bright colors and good darks. This TV is much lighter than the old one it replaced and the super thing bezel means it takes up much less room. It comes with Samsung's Tizen operating system and has 3 HDMI ports (one for ARC). It also came with feet for the stand and has a VESA 100 mounting holes on the back in the center and uses M8 19-21mm screws for mounting (these need to be acquired separately; I picked some up from the hardware store). The TV itself has no buttons or controls on it. You either have to use the remote to turn it on, or it turns on when you power on a connected device.I purchased the "2024 revision". There's very scant info on the Internet about this model (BED-H) and it was even a chore to find the official Samsung product page for it. One extremely disappointing thing about this is it does not, in fact, have Optical or Coaxial digital audio output. It only uses its built in speaker, HDMI ARC, or bluetooth for audio output. All of the available info says it does have those pther connectors, but I believe they were removed in the 2024 revision. My existing soundbar didn't have HDMI and we were using optical but now that's not an option. We were able to hook it up with Bluetooth luckily, but this is just a stop gap until we can upgrade the soundbar. I'm disappointed we have to though. If you are in the market for a dumb tv, this is a good option. One tip I saw someone else post was to check for software updates once even if you don't plan on using this with any other smart features; when trying to hook up the soundbar to Bluetooth it didn't work at first, but I connected to wifi and downloaded the latest update and after that it worked fine. The remote is very stripped down and is basically just to navigate the tv OS. Switch inputs involves going home and then selecting the input; they appear as tiles next to the built-in apps. Easy enough but I kind of wish there was a way to do it manually.I can't comment on the business related functions but the manual appears to cover those adequately. I've contemplated keeping it hooked to the network and using the management smartphone app but I haven't decided yet.Overall very happy, but still angry about the incorrect info on the available input/output.

worst instructions ever and no mounting screws included
I have been buying Samsun tv's since the late eighties. I don't know what happened to them. It used to be so simple to install. Now the pictured instructions are useless. They describe installation for every model they have in one dumb set of figures. The "simple users guide" is anything but simple. First of all you need a magnifying glass to read it. And when you do you will find Samsung lawyers have been at work filling the pages with stupid things you shouldn't do. When you finally get to the points there is none. Then to add insult to injury there are no screws in the mounting holes, nor does it tell you the size you need. I used Chatbox GBT to find the size and went to a hardware store.I don't think I will buy any Samsung equipment again.
