Great r/c for the money

Perfect gift but it was smaller than expected.

Out of the box the truck looks really great. Traxxas (TRXS going forward) did a good job on the shell - it really does look scaled correctly. The decals are well proportioned and placed, there's even a decal for the inside wing window latch! I would recommend using a small microfiber wipe to carefully follow the decals around the entire shell to make sure they're fully adhered, mine had a couple of small bubbles I was able to smooth out - use caution not to lift one or they'll pretty much be wasted. I mention this because this is primarily a "shelf queen" for me and decals will lift over time - and if bashing on the rocks and trails they'll def tear off. I've had a few TRXS trucks - 2 TMaxxs when they first came out in 99, a Stampede back then, and the first gen EMaxx - TRXS makes a dependable RTR out of the box. I've built a s-ton of RCs from crawlers to go-fast boats and imo TRXS sells a great RTR RC. At 62yoa I still love scale stuff - first was a Cox Trike in `70 and I never looked back! Chassis - typical TRXS packaging, elecs are well placed with no excessive "extra" wire length (although if/when upgrading that might be a con). Plenty of room for old man fat fingers to plug the battery and shell lights into the ESC/RX. 4 link suspension, seems to have almost 2" articulation. The shocks are damped but mine were a bit stiff out of the box, flexing them sorted this. Really dig the shell clips, pins ruin the shell and frankly are an a-pain. Running - good turning radius, speed is fair, not too much torque twist, double tap reverse sucks. Seems to crawl pretty well with the 87T motor, basic ESC and it's three driving modes, and TX (passes the shoe crawl-over easily). I think TRXS missed the mark with single speed trans and if not that, at least a 3C TX which would make THEIR OWN upgrades more convenient for novice/first timers. Don't forget you need four (4) AA batteries for the TX. Recommend - pretty pleased out of the box, looks good, operates as it should, well assembled (wish they made a builders kit though). If anything changes I'll update.

Smaller than expected

This little guy is an amazing starter for someone looking to dip their toes into the world of REAL RC toys. This is not your cheap toy isle buy. It's designed as a crawler, which is does beautifully, we've had it climbing snow banks with ease, and so far no damage from the cold or wet. A lesser brand wouldn't have lasted through our play sessions! It also has an option to change between 3 modes of use, Crawl, Speed and one other setting I can't remember off hand, but these two are the only ones I used personally, I know the bf played with all 3 (it was his gift.. I just maybe borrowed it briefly..) . Despite being designed as a crawler, with a really neat super realistic parts design, this thing is still super quick! (When compared with the usual big box store toys) . The body is amazingly detailed, and I love the headlights, trust me, when playing in the dark its super easy to lose track of what direction you may have ended up in if you spin out! One thing some people may see as a con... Once you dip your toes in with this one... theres a really good chance you'll be taking a trip out to look at bigger, faster, more expensive ($$$) models to play with 😂 Totally worth every penny, on this model and getting into the hobby after receiving this one.

Das ist ein tolles ferngesteuertes Auto. Der Maßstab ist perfekt für in der Wohnung. Das Auto hat unheimlich viel Kraft und kommt über fast jedes Hindernis. Ich kannte vorher nur einfache ferngesteuerte Autos, aber bei diesem hier kann man den Lenkeinschlag und die Geschwindigkeit sehr genau steuern. Also nicht nur voll nach links/rechts, oder direkt Vollgas. Das Auto macht wirklich super viel Spass.
