This device is quite handy when you don’t have a POE switch or WIFI router and you want to use it to give power remotely connected devices. For example: Injector can be used to give power for POE supported CCTV cameras. Overall nice and sturdy device which served me the purpose.

These injectors work like a charm so 5 stars . But I was having trouble getting my fourth camera install to work. To run long lengths of ethernet cable outside the house I'm forced to make my own ethernet cables. I have a tester an absolute essential piece of equipment for this work. Everything was hooked up, my custom cable to the camera checked out. I thought there was a problem with the injector so I swapped it out with another but no luck. Finally, I decided to try testing the ethernet cable that came with the injector and sure enought it was faulty. This is a first for a cable that has shipped with a unit. I checked the other two cables I hadn't made use of yet and they checked out ok.

I've used these in various places with no issues at all. They have powered unifi APs, meraki APs, point to point link stations, cameras etc and never missed a beat. Even in some harsh conditions kept in IP rated boxes in the middle of nowhere during cold winters and hot summers. For the price of them they just work and are cheaper than the genuine ones if you're buying in bulk.
