Why do you say this one doesn’t catch House flies but the wood grain one does? They look almost identical to me.

We have 2 white ones in the same room and they haven't caught a single house fly with many flying about. It has caught fruit flies and a mosquito

where do you get replacement sticky pads?

I found them! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08F23SZRS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_1e4ZFbF991ZPW

This comes with a piece of wire that appears to be intended for hard wiring the unit, rather than using the plug-in cord. Can this be hard wired?

I got the same thing too and im sure you can hard wire it
