Long battery time and easy to carry around
I really like this baby monitor. It’s portable, and the battery lasts a long time, so I don’t have to charge it all the time. My favorite part is the light bar on the side. If the baby makes a loud sound, the lights light up, so I can notice it right away. Overall, I’m very happy with it. It’s easy to carry upstairs and downstairs. Perfect for everyday use

Camera hacked on wifi free mode
Camera works fine besides a little laggy but the last few months I have been scared to use it. Even when the camera and monitor is off I can hear a clicking sound like the camera randomly truns on. Like 10 times a day and throughout the night. Im afraid someone might have hacked it even on the wifi free mode.

Works well
Very good quality and image! Comes with a powerbank and works for hours, even without energy. Just the camera power cord could be a little bit longer!

Unreliable Audio
The audio will randomly stop functioning on the parent unit, sometimes in the middle of the night. To fix the issue, I have to turn the monitor off and on again, which is annoying at best and dangerous at worst. Unreliability is not a feature I expected out of a baby monitor. The audio and video need to function properly 100% of the time, and that is not the case with this camera. We should have paid the extra money and bought the Nanit from the start.

Really good quality!
With nearly every option for baby monitors needing wifi to work, and the scares that are out there with people hacking into those, I was adament about finding a non wifi camera! This one has been great! Super easy set up, even came with a charge already so I didn't have to plug it up right away. The camera quality has been great, and I love that you can clip the camera onto the side of furniture, or even set it standing somewhere. The monitor is fantastic and has so many options down to logging baby feedings and playing lullabies. This is indeed a great monitor for traveling but I've found it to be amazing for our home where I don't have to move very far so I have no issues with getting out of range etc. I will say though the camera gives me Poltergiest vibes with how it looks, I'm glad I have the security of not having to worry about a stranger hacking into my babies camera!

Time delay
I love night vision and love that you don’t need wifi but it does lag, my baby starts to cry and the monitor picks it up 10/20 seconds later

Only one can have free access
The product is designed so that you have to subscribe to the Premium package. The camera only gives access to one cell phone and parents have to choose who. Do not buy it under any circumstances.

Traveling with baby just got easier
This travel baby monitor will make traveling feel so much easier, more convenient, and safer. It's flexible and portable. The gooseneck design makes it easy to position the camera exactly how you want it, and the battery base stand is perfect for travel, giving you up to 8 hours of use during the day. I like that it has a Wi-Fi On/Off switch, so you can turn off Wi-Fi for extra privacy when you don't need remote access. The 5-inch screen shows clear 720p video, and if you want even higher quality, you can stream in 1080p through the app. There are a lot of thoughtful features like sound detection, feeding reminders, and best-in-class night vision, all controlled from the app. Overall, it's easy to use and has a decent range. As a parent who loves to travel, finding a baby monitor that is both portable and packed with useful features felt like a dream come true. Indeed, the CHILLAX Giraffe Pro Max Baby Monito is a truly innovative and reliable option for parents on the go. After testing this product thoroughly, I can confidently say it’s worth the $250 price tag, despite being on the higher end of the market. ✅Super Portable Travel Baby Monitor: The first thing that impressed me was just how portable this baby monitor is. With its battery clip base stand, you can attach the camera pretty much anywhere, which is perfect for when you’re moving from hotel to hotel or even just visiting family. The 8-hour battery life ensures that you can keep an eye on your baby even if there’s no power source readily available, and the gooseneck design makes it easy to adjust the camera to any angle, providing full flexibility. I tested this by setting up the camera in various locations: on a crib, on a nightstand, or even attached to the back of a chair. In each case, I was able to get the perfect viewing angle, thanks to the flexible gooseneck. It was simple to clip on and move around—a huge plus for parents who need something adaptable. ✅Wi-Fi Off for Privacy: One of my biggest concerns with baby monitors is privacy, especially when traveling. I love that this monitor has a physical Wi-Fi On/Off switch. I tested this feature, and when Wi-Fi was turned off, the ChillaxCare app access was temporarily disabled, but the video feed on the parent unit stayed uninterrupted. This gave me peace of mind knowing that no one else could access the camera remotely when I didn’t want them to. In today's digital age, this is a crucial feature for privacy-conscious parents like myself. ✅Crystal Clear Viewing: The video quality was another area that exceeded my expectations. The 5-inch Parent Unit offers a sharp 720p display, while the camera itself streams in 1080p Full HD. Whether I was in the same room or streaming remotely through the app, the picture was crisp and clear. I tested the camera both during the day and at night, and the best-in-class night vision worked flawlessly. No grainy images or lag, just a smooth, reliable video feed. The fact that the LED dimming feature prevents any distracting blinking lights was a thoughtful touch, ensuring my baby could sleep peacefully. Well done! ✅ Smart Features for Every Need: The temperature sensor, motion and sound detection, and feeding reminders were features that I initially thought were overkill. But once I tested them, I realized how handy they are. The temperature sensor helped me ensure my baby's room was comfortable during the night, and the feeding reminders were great during long travel days when keeping track of schedules can be tricky. These are features I didn’t know I needed until I had them. Plus, I could record my own media, or play the existing "Bedtime fro sweet dreams" song. I also tested the 2-way talk feature, which came in handy when I needed to soothe my baby from the other room. I just keep the monitor on my office desk and be in control every second! The audio was clear, and the long transmission range (up to 1,000 feet) meant that I could still communicate effectively even when far from the monitor. This was especially useful in larger hotels or while staying in spacious homes. ❎ Room for Improvement: While I loved most of the features, I did find one area that could be improved. The app only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, which can be slower and more crowded than the newer 5 GHz standard. When I was in busy areas with many devices connected to the same network, the app experienced some slight lag. Adding 5 GHz support in the future would certainly elevate the overall experience, especially for parents who live in urban areas or travel frequently. All in all, the CHILLAX Giraffe Pro Max Baby Monitor is a fantastic choice for parents who need a versatile, portable, and feature-packed monitor for both home and travel. Its flexibility, privacy features, crystal-clear image quality, and smart functions make it well worth the investment. While the app could benefit from 5 GHz support, the device as a whole delivered an excellent experience that made traveling with a baby much less stressful. Highly recommend! Great device - my rating is 4.5 stars

Terrible. Worst camera, night vision, and features. Extremely over priced. The ultimate FU though is having the customer pay for shipping to return it because they a) they most likely know you’ll want to return it. b) to try and get you to keep it. It’s feels cheaply made, i opened it and just felt incredibly ripped off. The best part about this product is the cardboard packaging, not the product. 100% Avoid unless you can pick it up for $30… not $300. Seriously, even if I got this thing for free i still wouldn’t use it because it’s that bad.

- Very happy with the build, design, and performance of the monitor unit. The 5 inch screen size is big enough to get a detailed view of the crib/room/playing area. The screen resolution is good for a nice, bright, clear view. It helps that the camera is 1080p and captures excellent quality video. Even night vision video transmission is clean, crisp, and detailed. - Speaking of video, the quality slightly differs on how you watch it. The monitor displays 720p HD video. However, the app that you can download on your phone to remotely view the camera allows 1080p FHD video. So, the app shows a better quality video. - The app also allows us to use the camera as an indoor security camera when we are not home. We can view the indoor of our house from anywhere in the world with the app. That feature is super useful. - I love the design of the camera. It can be wall mounted or can be used with that clipper attachment to attach it to the crib or clip onto a table surface. That versatility allows us to use the camera almost anywhere in our apartment. - The manufacturer claims a 1000 feet range for the monitor unit, and we easily get a few hundred feet range while moving around our house and going to the neighbor's house or moving around out and about in our front and back yards. We are happy with that range.

The outstanding feature of this is without a doubt the ability to switch from standard baby monitor with a baby unit and parent unit that you plug and go, but also with an option for using WiFi and logging in from wherever you are. Now that's an awesome feature for those who don't want to fully depend on WiFi (i.e. if you've heard of scary stories of people hacking your baby monitor) but like to have the option (i.e. you wanna check in from outside the house, maybe when a nanny is over). But that's about it. All the other features are standard and subpar. - baby unit works on battery which they say only lasts 8 hours. It's good but you can only use that during nap time. So it'd be good for times where you're going somewhere or visiting someone and baby needs to go down for a nap. Just clip, connect and go. - universal clip makes it super easy to travel with as you can clip it onto a pack n play or anything (I've even thought of bringing it to the car to check on baby sleeping when it's dark). You do have to do a lot of trial and error though to get the right position as the weight of the camera can tip the clip (when using as a stand). gooseneck helps get the right position and is easy to move around. - the USB c cables are nice and long and use an angled plug so that it's not bending at the connection, and also so it can run through the underneath of the baby monitor stand either forward or backwards without impeding it from standing flat - quality is sub par. Dunno much Abt pixelation but I have a unit that has 720 pixels and is much clearer than this one that claims to be 1080p. But it'll do, you can see what's going on and that's what's important - there is no pan tilt and zoom so when you set the monitor, that's how you'll see it. - there's a significant lag in the controls, 1 sometimes even 2 seconds before you hear your voice in the other end. - all other features, SD card, sounds, alarm, app for feeding and diaper tracking, they're all nice-to-have's but not necessary in my books. All in all, it's pretty pricey for a baby monitor with such low quality, but if you're looking for the dual WiFi functionality, this is it.

This is an average (or somewhat decent, depending upon what your needs are) baby monitor system (or whatever else you wanna monitor) that's reasonably well made and works right outta box without any issues whatsoever; however, there is certain level of delay/latency for the video and the audio and it does seem choppy at best. With that being said, it does work just fine as a monitoring tool but if you want HD (even at 720p) video of the baby, well, this is NOT gonna cut it. It supports a max of 4 cameras (sold separately) should you need it. ≡ Physical build The physical build quality is reasonably decent without any visible defects or any other quality related issues which I occasionally find amongst products such as this. The camera is powered by the provided clamp that has a built-in battery (or a battery with a built-in clamp) and it can be changed via USB-C; however, the camera itself has a male USB-A connector ONLY without a USB-C port; not that it'd do much good anyway even if does have one since it's difficult to make use of the camera without the cam as it doesn't stand on its own and there is no way to orient it, even with a gooseneck, with the clamp base. Btw, the clamp base has a 3000 mAh battery (claimed). On the other hand, the monitor/display does have a built-in battery rated at 3000 mAh (claimed) and it can be charged via USB-C which I do appreciate although it's not something to write home about at this point in time. Both the camera and the monitor/display (aka parent unit) can be used while they are being charged. The reception is average (even at close proximity to each other) in comparison to most others that I've come and reviewed (more than a dozen so far) so this may or may not work for you depending upon your individual needs with respect the video quality. It makes no claims to the maximum distance supported (between the camera and the monitor) but it uses the 2.4GHz band (proprietary Wi-Fi 4). Btw, it does come with 2x USB-A/C cables along with 2x USB wall chargers that have UL safety certification, which is great. ≡ Operations The user interface is reasonably intuitive and it's easy to work with all the buttons and whatnot. A number of settings can be adjusted including brightness, audio sensitivity, screen timeout, multi-camera view (supports a max of 4), temp monitoring, 2 way talk, night vision, and music play etc. All of these are typical and common features that I've seen on other units although relatively few have the ability to play melodies etc. However, the video quality is below average in comparison to most others although it does have a 2MP camera (or so it claims). It's also NOT clear to me what the frame rate is (most others do provide that info) and it's NOT very high, again, based on what I've seen so far because the video appears to be choppy a lot more frequently than others that I've come across but that could also be due to poor reception. In any event, the overall video quality isn't what I would say as being 'good' at this point in time. The color reproduction is reasonably decent; not great but more than adequate (not that it matters as a baby cam I suppose but it's still good to know) but the latency issues has put a damper on things. ≡ Note Unlike the vast majority of others that I've come across and reviewed, this particular one does NOT support pan/tilt and instead it comes with a gooseneck. While a gooseneck is certainly helpful in many cases, it's not even comparable to cameras with panning and tilting capabilities. As such, I'd say this is the stripped down or lite version of those that do support pan/tilt. In addition, the monitor/display is only 720p so the quality on the parent unit isn't exactly great although it's still more than sufficient in most cases for baby monitoring. ### I should also mention that although the buttons work reasonably well, they really aren't the best and that's just disappointing especially when comparing to most others that DO have much better design for the bottoms that are easier to work with and navigate etc. ≡ Other features It doesn't have any other advanced features that most others having including PTZ (panning/tilting) but it does have digital zoom although it's not specified what the zoom level is (but I suspect it's just 2x/3x). However, it does have features such as screen auto-timeout, timer, and 2-way talk which absolutely help (though it might not work that well for the, well, stubborn type). In addition, it does come with a gooseneck and a clamp with built-in battery that few others have (for the camera) and it's working well given the circumstance (not counting the fact that it doesn't have pan/tilt that is), and that' certainly point in its favor (i.e. with a built-in battery). Last but not least, it has a kickstand as well as an external antenna for better reception like most others but the antenna doesn't really work that well I'm afraid. ≡ Value All things considered, this is a somewhat decent [baby] monitor that works moderately well with an average video quality, below average display, intuitive menu, and below average reception. Some of the issues aforementioned may or may not be a concern for you depending upon your particular use case and needs; however, it does have a rather steep price of $250 and that's at least 40-60% more dough than others with a 1080p display/parent unit AND a pan/tilt capable camera although the camera isn't battery powered like this one is. Nonetheless, I'm not entirely certain if this is a cost effective option or even an alternative (if you are looking for battery-powered camera) given what I've seen thus far. Btw, the app is junk and I wouldn't let 'em mine my precious data and possibly videos of my little one so the app isn't even an option to me but you might feel differently about the app and the choice is of course yours. Your mileage might vary.
