Star Wars The Black Series Princess Leia Organa, A New Hope Collectible 6 Inch Action Figure

The coolest Babe in all of Star Wars and that’s a fact.

She’s great, good likeness and brilliant moulding.

I bought this figure specifically to use as a photographic prop, and it’s genuinely impressed me. The sculpting is crisp with good definition in the face, clothing folds, and armour textures, which makes it look far more premium in photos than the price would suggest. Even in close-up macro shots, it holds up well without that plasticky shine cheaper figures sometimes have. The articulation is better than expected too. You get enough range to create dynamic poses without joints popping out or the figure collapsing mid-shot (always a bonus). The joints are firm and support the weight well, so once you position it, it stays put - ideal for longer setup sessions or shooting multiple angles. Balance is solid straight out of the box. It stands unaided on flat surfaces, and the proportions look natural, making it easy to blend into scenes or forced-perspective setups. Accessories are well sculpted and photograph nicely, and nothing feels too fragile to handle during repositioning. Pros from a toy photographer’s perspective: - Clean sculpt and textured details that look great on camera - Articulated enough for dynamic poses without being fiddly - Stands steadily on its own - very helpful for photography - Accessories are sturdy and visually convincing Cons: - A couple of joints were slightly stiff at first, but loosened with gentle adjustment - Paint application is good overall, though not quite “collector grade” Overall, it’s a surprisingly photogenic figure and fantastic value for creative work. If you’re building up a prop library or need a versatile character for scene setups, this one delivers far more than its price point suggests.

A fantastic reproduction of Princess Leia in A New Hope, and by far, the most accurate at this price point. It looks even better IRL, compared to photographs. Leia comes with two versions of the hood, so she can be displayed with it up or down, and two weapons - her own gun and a stormtrooper blaster. The bottom part of her gown is made from a flexible plastic in two parts. This looks so much better compared to a fabric gown. Multiple articulation points including ankles, wrists, waist, knees, arms and head, enabling Leia to be positioned in a variety of poses. The box also has great artwork. Sadly, Amazon didn’t package it very well (placed inside a slightly larger box), and the box got damaged in transit. So no good as a boxed collectible.
