Front Range Dog Chest Harness, Red Canyon, Small

You can't beat these Ruffwear Front Range harnesses for comfort, strength, and quality. I have a Golden Retriever and a Boxer. We travel a good amount with the dogs. These are our go-to harness for travel. The dogs are well secured and comfortable during long rides. Because of the price, we used cheaper harnesses while they were still growing and waited until they reached adult size before we invested in these. That was absolutely the right call. These are premium harnesses and though expensive, they are worth it! Note that our two dogs have very different shapes, even though they weigh about the same (70 lbs). This harness is so adjustable, around neck and girth, that it fits both dogs perfectly. We went with an x-large size.

Great harness. Fits my leonberger just fine and he doesnt seem to mind wearing it on long hikes. Very well made and thought out. The harness is very easy to use and adjust. Dog is very secure in it, and I feel a lot better using it than just the collar. No pulling on his neck. I use a collar from the same company and the quality is just as good. Design is cool too. Been using for a week, will update if anything goes wrong but I dont think it will.

I like these and my dog likes this brand of harness best out of all the ones we've tried. My dog is very sensitive and doesn't like heavier harnesses or ones that go to high on his neck and press uncomfortably on his chest and throat. This one is so lightweight he doesn't mind putting it on and it sits a bit lower than some of the other brands where it doesn't bother his throat if he pulls. I also love the front clasp as my dog is a puller and it does a great job of slowing him down when needed. Also the color and pattern is very cute and a good mix of stylish and functional so he's easy to spot. This is the second one I've gotten and this one seems to have an even higher level of reinforcement on the front clasp which I'm hoping will allow it to last longer than 3 years like the last one which frayed over time.

The Ruffwear Front Range Reflective Soft Padded Harness with dual leash clips is very well made. It appears to be comfortable, but Bernie, our 110+ lb. Bernedoodle, hates putting on any harness. It’s easy to put on and adjust, when Bernie isn’t making us chase him around the house to do it! The harness has high-quality stitching, multiple adjustment points, and feels strong and durable. It has held up incredibly well to everything we’ve put it through, including hiking and, more importantly, Bernie’s constant pulling to play with every dog who crosses our path. Bernie is a serious puller, so I purchased this harness in April 2026 but waited four months to write my review so I could put it through the full “Bernie test.” It passed with flying colors! Even though he still pulls like he’s training for the Iditarod, the harness has held up beautifully and is definitely Bernie-approved! Now, if only I could find a way to make him stop pulling… but that’s a training task for another day!

I bought this harness (size Medium) for a (average-size) Golden Retriever that I sit for, because she pulls so hard & I have a bad back. I’ve tried various harnesses, & so far this has been the best. She still pulls but it’s manageable. It’s super cute & was much easier to adjust the fit compared to many of others I’ve tried. For pulling, you get better control connecting the lead to the hook underneath. The harness seems to be comfortable for her except the two areas (photos attached) where stitching is but no padding. I’m sure heavy stitching was necessary but padding around it would’ve been helpful. I’m going to find something to sew around it, because it causes her to stop every 5 minutes to itch.

Excellent fit, easy and quick to put on/take off, also easy to adjust for a perfect fit. Love the color on our Golden Retriever. She us a strong puller, put the front attachment prevents that. Also the harness doesn’t rub under her front legs. Definitely recommend!

Fit perfectly! Easy to put on and it’s not bulky. The front latch point is perfect, she doesn’t pull anymore

This is a great little harness for my new sheltie puppy adjusting to the big city in all its sights and noises. Good pull control and comfortable for the dog and easy to put on. Pricey but worth it.small size fits her perfectly.

Very well made. Easily adjustable sizing and available in sizes from . Two leash connection points. Buy it!
