Would these shoes be considered nonslip for work places that require that?

NO. Unless a shoe specifically says non-slip… they aren’t.

Are the sizing chart and instructions accurate? I measured my sons feet and it indicates he would need a size 14 but he usually wears a size 13.

They ran small for me. I wear an 11.5EE in dress shoes and a 12W in trainers/sneakers. I got 12W and they are just a hairs width short... so I'd second their recommendation for a 14 over 13.

I ordered a size 13 (wide 13 on dropdown) and they showed up with a 47 size label in the shoe, which translates to a 12.5 us size -- not 13 us. why?

12.5 is a 46 in eu size. 13 is 47. I don't what chart you found but this is a pretty standard conversion for most brands.

Can you machine wash these?

Yes, however remove insoles and do not use dryer air fryer is best.
