If you made a house shape like in the first picture, would it be strong enough to hang a sheet over to make a den?

I tried with a kids parachute and it fell down! I made a house last night and it had fallen down by this morning, the straws aren't very strong but it is a really good toy for kids, we've just made a boat! You can get den making kits with sturdy sticks and connectors which would be better for dens but I would get this too as the bendy sticks allow you to make lots of different shapes. You get lots of pieces in the box.
