Does the mat provide a soft (cushioned) surface on which to step? I have little padding on my feet and need a safe cushioned mat to stand on.

There is just suction cups on the bottom, not really padding. It is safe and does not slide but I also wear beach shoes in the shower as my feet need support. I like the mat.

Hi,Thank you for getting in touch! It is to inform you that machine wash is not recommended, however you can wipe clean with cleaning spray and rinse it with clear water.I hope this information addresses your needs. We look forward to welcoming you as our customer.Yours Sincerely,SarfrazCustomer Support RepresentativeTempus & Co.

Does this mat stick to tile in the shower pan? My tile is slippery as ice. I want to avoid a fall. Thanks!

It grips some, but as others pointed out it doesn't grip as well as other mats. My elderly mother did slip in the shower with this mat and the mat was bunched up to the side, showing it slid when she lost her balance. I checked under the mat and it was clean, it didn't have a buildup of anything that would make it slippery or cause it to lose suction. We replaced it.

Does the water drain through the whole thing? Not just the center?

I cut out the plastic pebbles in middle of the mat. Drains fine. Just pick up and wash it in washing machine with towels and put back in shower and suction cups on bottom, hold it in place. Very pleased with it.

Very good product. Adheres firmly to the shower floor and feels safe. Fairly pretty and quite neutral. Perhaps a little expensive.
