Genoa Salami
A very tasty genoa salami. It's approx. 8 in by 1 3/4 in in size weighing apparently 8 - 10 ounces. The casing was not edible, at least for me. It had a grayish opaque pallor that was initially off-putting but that's natural casing. The salami itself is course ground chewy, but not overtly hard nor mushy, so in my view just nice. This is the second Fortuna product I have purchased and have not been disappointed with either.

Way Overpriced, but delicious.
Nitrates should be a no-no in ALL processed meat. I love salami and these guys deliver great taste without that horrible ingredient, but for a small hunk of tubular meat does it have to cost so much? The price means I will purchase again but not for a while.

Great product.
Reminds me when I was working at Tonyโs Foodland 14 years old Somerville MA.The Italian cold cuts the best. You make a great food product. So this was a treat for us. The cost salami and shipping was 30.94 little too much only complaint. Eating brought back memories. Thank You

Never ever to buy this junky salami again
It was a very small , extremely hard piece of salami .I could hardly chew it and I could tell it was old. I am 58 years old and have been buying salami for about 40 of those years. I threw this product in the garbage and the trash can probably complained about its prescence too! ! . I usually by Gallo salami made in San Francisco and it is a hard salami also . When one buys hard salami , as in chub form, the trick is to squeeze it and if it is a little soft, buy it. Kind of like you would squeeze an avocado at the grocery store. If it is rock hard it has been hanging around too long. If it gives a little (as a ripe avocado does) It's freshly made. So....I would not recommend buying this venders product. I chose not to return it and take the loss, because I did not want to eat it a second time and be disappointed once more.....thank you and just being honest with my experience with this salami....Drew

Nitrate free Genoa Salami.
The stick is pretty small, as it is only 8 oz. That would put it at about $34 a lb. I'd rather have a good porterhouse or ribeye steak. Taste is not as dry as I remembered the ones I used to eat. It tastes a little on the greasy side. Normally any kind of salami or pepperoni would take a toll on my stomach, but this one didn't. I believe it is the sodium nitrates that are the problem. It's a little too expensive except for an occasional treat.
