One of the more cold hardy varieties, this attractive bush has glossy, leathery dark green foliage and an abundance of magnificently fragrant large white blooms. Has a more upright habit and more tolerant of direct sun light than other gardenias, with flower buds that resist late spring frosts without damage. Frostproof makes a wonderful hedge or foundation planting. Place close to outdoor living areas or entryways to enjoy the fragrance. Not Happy!
I got a live plant that had great leaves on it and looked healthy. It’s winter here in Oklahoma and it’s in the teens, so I decided to keep it indoors until Spring. It was wet, so I didn’t water it. It felt dry the next day and I gave it a good watering. The water seems to just run right through the pot out the bottom. I kept it in the original pot. No instructions came with it! I googled on how to grow a Gardenia! Lol! Still doing good. It’s by a sunny window and off to the side so it’s not direct sunlight. Just like Google said it needed.But it is getting some of it. I waited another few days and it felt dry and I noticed a few of the leaves looking dull. I watered it just a little. Next day the soil was dry, so I watered it a little more. The leaves are now are all dried up and falling off it! I’m going to remove all the dead leaves and transplant it in a regular pot in hopes that it will grow new leaves and come back to life. It’s 10 degrees outside, so I can’t put it outdoors! I wish they would have sent instructions on how to keep it alive! Not the best start to this! Maybe a grow light would work. I had high hopes for this!

Love this blooming’ plant
They just keep blooming!!! Had them only for a few days and I can see them growing. Love these plants. Worth the money.

Healthy plant
Plant packaged and handled with care and was very happy with the condition of the plant. The only reason I am doing 4 stars is there was nothing about caring for the plant but besides that, I was very happy. The flower blossomed within 3 days and they smelled really nice. Praying that this is drought and frost resistant and will live in my yard for many years.
