I have been using this all winter to keep my family from getting sick after I had my youngest baby. Anytime I start to feel a sniffle I have the kids take 1 dose and we are all fine the next day. We have even been in contact with sick people and after taking this did not catch it. The taste is strong but not unpleasant, my kids ask for more. Will definitely keep this on hand at all times!

Since I wasn't able this year to make our own elderberry syrup, I looked into purchasing this already made. As a certified holistic nutritionist, I am exceptionally picky about my supplements. In full disclosure, I have long been a Gaia fan, so trying the Gaia elderberry syrup was a no-brainer for me. Gaia has long since checked all the boxes for me in terms of quality, construction, price point, & flavor. The construction is USDA certified organic, which is a huge plus. It is even sweetened with organic sugar, which is important to me. It is a very thick syrup & is higher on the sweet side than you might expect so if you are sensitive to sweetness it may be a little too sweet for your palate. I suppose you could cut it with a bit of water to reduce the sweetness if you desired. Dosing is super easy with the included measuring cup & specific instructions for both adult AND child on the bottle. I have used the syrup for both healing as well as daily maintenance & notice a HUGE difference in both applications. Taking it daily is great for overall immunity health maintenance. If ever I get to feeling a bit "off"/under the weather I take more than the daily maintenance recommends & by the next day I am right as rain. Keep in mind that all supplements work differently for each of us as individuals, there are amazing healing properties in elderberry regardless & I would highly recommend this product. Worth every penny.

I’m sure this is probably healthier than most elderberry syrups, but I couldn’t get past the taste. It started out bitter and somehow kept getting more bitter every time I tried it. To be fair, I have super sensitive bitter taste buds and can’t do coffee or grapefruit. I only made it through half a bottle even though I hated getting rid of it with as expensive as it was. I went back to the sambucol brand.
