Fuel economy statements are real.
By all accounts, it's a quality oil used as factory fill for a number of Japanese brands. I was skeptical about the fuel economy statements, but I put it into our 2017 CRV (1.5L turbo motor). Driveability and cold weather start ups didn't seem any different to me. By the second tank of gas we noticed the fuel economy increased 10%. This is probably on the high side of what one could expect and you shouldn't count on this on every engine you drop it into. Too many variables to make any kind of prediction. But, despite my skepticism, there is some validity to their statements. For background, it's a 2017 CRV AWD with the 1.5L turbo motor. This motor has 12K+ miles on it. The ~6K was on the factory fill, the second ~6K was on Mobil 1 EP and now on the Zepro Advanced Moly. Before Zepro, the mileage was very consistent at 28-30 mpg's driving gingerly on local roads (probably the very best you could expect on this vehicle in real world driving). This was over 2 summers and one winter (just now entering the second winter when I changed to Zepro). We use a summer and winter tire set, both yielded similar fuel economy numbers. We have the trip computer configured to display average mpg's and it automatically resets at each fill up. We never noticed a gradual improvement as the engine continued to break in. After a few hundred miles on this oil we're suddenly seeing 33mpg's. I can't think of any other factor that would have abruptly caused a change in fuel economy. It's not the driving habits, tires or pressures, weather, no computer updates, nothing else explains this. At the next oil change I might try the regular Zepro 0W20 (not their advanced Moly), just to see how it stacks up in the fuel economy department. Amazon sells it for about $10 less, but that seems to vary. They claim both will increase fuel economy. The advanced moly is targeted towards cars that have automatic start/stop engines. That's not a use case I'm concerned with. 12/2019 - fuel economy leveled out around 31 mpg, so I’ll call it a 2 mpg improvement over what we previously saw before switching to this oil.

Seems like good stuff but it's different!
I used it in my 2016 Subaru Forester 2.5L with 100K and it seems to run smoother and quieter and maybe even get a little better mileage. When I poured it into the funnel, I noticed that the oil actually formed areas along the walls of the funnel where stayed there, even though it was vertical, and the oil was kind of thicker even though it was 0W-20. My guess is it really does what it says in protecting engine parts by staying on the engine parts even after the engine is off. It certainly clung onto my funnel! Seems like good stuff and it's different than any other engine oil I've used!

Great value same as factory fill.
Well first off this was a great value for the product I have a 2016 Mazda 3 Grand Touring with 40,000 miles on it. I work for Honda so I get a excellent discount on oil changes at work so I did a run of out Ultimate synthetic 0-20 Non-Moly oil for 5,000 miles and my gas economy went down 9 mpg. Just changed it with this oil with Moly and right back at Avg 36Mpg. Skyactive G engines require Moly. it shows in the quality of the smoothness of the engine idle and revs that this oil is quality . Right off the bat it was better on first drive with new oil. Also I found out that this is the oil brand that most Japanese cars come with from roll out from factory.

It's starting to get expensive for oil thats as good as Mobil 1
My engine runs smooth on this stuff for the first 1000 miles, can't say it isn't bad engine oil but I noticed pennzoil platinum has way less vibration and my engine doesn't tick as much. The price seems to have gone up though makes me kinda sad, I really don't like paying close to 40 bucks for 5 quarts on Base 3 oils. Pennzoil platinum is better and a lot easier to get. Even the Ultra Platinum which trades blows with amsoil is 16 bucks less than this . This oil is made in the states not Japan .

Butter smooth engine idle and effortless cold starts for my 2017 Mazda3
Used this for my 2nd oil change since I took my 2017 MAZDA 3 off the lot. First oil change I tried Liqui-Moly’s Special Tec and was disappointed to find out it did not contain molybdenum. After 5k I just did a fresh swap with Zepro Eco Medalist high moly and my goodness what a difference. My engine is relatively brand new and I drive almost all highway miles but after running this with the OEM Mazda oil filter for a couple days, my engine idle is so noticeably smoother and more quiet. I’ve been muting my music when stopped at intersections just to appreciate the lack of noise and rumble. I’ve only seen a minor increase in MPG, about 1 MPG over 2 weeks but traffic is so inconsistent it’s her to tell if the engine oil is reason. However I can definitely say my skyactiv engine purrs better and my cold engine indicator on my dash goes away quicker after a cold start. I’ll go with this from now on as long as the price doesn’t go up!

Great oil for Subaru 2.5FB engines!
My 2013 outback was able to consistently hit 28-29 mpg while on the factory oil fill back when it was new. It has NEVER been able to hit that mpg again even when using the Subaru OEM oil. Did some research and found out that it seems that the factory fill is oil with Moly (like the one Mazda uses for their skyactiv engines). I am constantly hitting 30mpg on the highway now. Best I could do before was 26-27mpg. It has also significantly reduced vibration and timing chain “slap” during startup. Highly recommended!
