Waterproof Butyl Tape for Leak Repair 48mm x 1.52cm

An excellent product. Easy to apply and instantly stopped a leak in my rain water gutter.

Good sponge and waterproof. Dose what it says on the box.

This did fix my pond liner but needed tape on both sides of the liner, which was awkward. However, my wellies were cracked and leaking. It some of this to fit, cleaned the service, stuck the tap on and went over them with a hot hairdryer- it did a fantastic job of that.

I have a very large football sized hole in my pond liner right at the water line., caused by rats when the pond was surrounded with decking that they loved under. I attempted to fix it in early Summer with a piece of liner and the waterproof pond liner repair silicon (can’t remember the name but it’s the one in the yellow cartridge). Well it didn’t work and within a couple of weeks the pond was leaking until I was topping it up ever couple of days. So decided to try this. I did not apply it under water. Instead let the pond down so that the full hole and an inch or so below it were fully exposed and could dry out. I applied the tape on the underside and top of the liner, so that it overlapped the liner by 2+ inches all the way around and then stuck to itself over the hole itself. I didn’t add any patching liner. That was on August 31st and I’m writing this on Sep 24th. So far I have been able to have my pond filed half way over that taped hole and haven’t had to top the pond up once since (other than when I backwash clean the filter, of course). The liner I have is a Swell plastic liner, which I heard apparently requires a swell patch kit to fix any problems. This tape is proving that wrong so far. Will update this review if/when the tape starts to peel away.

Very disappointed also given that it is much more expensive than rivals, probably from heavy promotion. 1. Impossible to remove all of the ?cheap paper backing, so bits are left on *and* can't be scraped off without removing glue too. I routinely remove backing from other tape: this is the *worst I've ever seen* How hard can it be to have some kind of laminated backing that peels off properly??? 2. As other critics point out, not great at water repelling either, as with rain on sloped roof.

OK, so I have a problem with the property that I am currently renting in that the external drain is cracked. I spent time and effort in drying and cleaning the area, expecting a magnificent ' stick' of the tape to the the clay drain area, only to find it less than perfect. After multiple tries, I have 'stuck' something (imperfectly) down, but there are open areas. I do not know how this claims to work 'underwater' as it does not like dampness/water at all. It isn't useless, but do NOT expect any miracle claims regarding its adhesion properties. It took many tries (and cuts of tape) to get anything at all, having dried with a towel beforehand, and it still is not totally waterproof. Do not expect miracles, this is oversold and over claimed product.

Our large rectangular bestway pool was on its last legs this summer, but I didnt want to invest in a new one yet so I thought there was nothing to lose trying this out. I was gobsmacked. I used it to patch up the obviously worn parts of the lining where I knew it was leaking after cleaning the pool. Once the pool was up it started springing leaks, I was skeptical about how it would fare with water actually coming through as you stick it on,but by applying in one direction drying around it as you go, it sealed the hole and remained water tight for the rest of the month. I will definitely be keeping some of this on hand for emergencies!

استخدمتها لمسبح بلاستيكي فوق الارض عشرة آلاف لتر النتيجة: تعمل لكن ليس كما تظن او كما هو معلن او ما شاهدته في اليوتيوب عندما تستخدمها يجب ان يكون المكان جاف ونظيف و ان تضغط عليها لمدة طويلة او تضع عليها وزنا ثقيلا لمدة طويلة هل تعمل تحت الماء؟ نعم تعمل لكن يصبح الالتصاق ضعيف جدا لذلك يجيب ان تتأكد انك تضغط بقوة و تحرك لكي يخرج الماء بأقصى ما يمكن، لذلك فقط استخدها تحت الماء في الحالات الضرورية فقط

Trou dans le sol de ma piscine, j'ai mis un bout de T-rex sur le trou directement dans l'eau, plus de fuite, adhérence immédiate, à voir dans le temp. J'ai quand même passé un coup de tissus sur le trou avant au cas où il y aurait du gras dans le fond
