Can I run cornerbead with this box?

I tried and failed. Corner-bead not comparable.

Do you need a pump to fill this?

You can fill it without a pump, but you go through joint compound so quickly, because you can cover 8 to 10 feet in less than a minute. I highly recommend the pump.
