Flexcut Carving Tools, Micro Palm Craving Set, Set of 4

My first higher quality carving tools for linocuts and it works like a dream. Sharp and great at detail work, I would highly recommend as a step up from the beginning Speedball catchall lino tool.

I have some weird nerve damage in my hands so I can't use normal carving tools. These are perfect and comfortable to use. Cuts well and easy to control.

If you’re serious about doing one and block prints, these are the only tools you really need. Make sure that you buy a sharpening block and rouge because you need to sharpen them about every 15 minutes to keep the nice sharp edge.

Great for detail carving. Very sharp

I have several cheaper sets, but finally decided I would pay for a better carving set. Well worth it. They feel great in the hand, and make clear, clean marks. If you have been fighting with cheaper carving sets, buy these--it will change your experience.

She is delighted! Very well made and comfortable to handle. They come factory sharpen.

So let me start with explaining my expectations were low. I'm new to linocutting, and only beginning to get a handle on what I need in a set of good carving tools. Something I learned swiftly on the purchase right before this when a brand not worth mentioning arrived with chipped, absolutely dull blades. They were unusable and I feared they were the only micro set for carving out there... until I found flexcut. The shape of these carvers threw me, then I started working with them and I saw the brilliance of the design. Not only did they arrive sharp, precise blades in perfect condition, they fit wonderfully in the hand. Something about the angle of the tool requires less force on my part, allowing me to trace thin lines around my pencil marks with ease. These tools have turned the linoleum nearly into a scratchboard for how fine the lines of shadowing and gradation I can cut into the surface. Would I recommend doing this level of fine detail in a linocut in general? Probably not. I'm sure my ignorance to the medium has led me down a neurotic path that I'll eventually regret. But these precise carving tools are absolutely making it possible, and I'm loving everything about the experience as a result.

Bought these to go along with my larger ones. These are great for smaller details on faces around eyes and any where you need them in carving. Packaged well with great wooden storage box and also comes with a bandaid dispenser in it. Which is needed from time to time. Great value for the money. Came super sharp out of the box.

Ottimo prodotto con lame molto affilate

These carving tools are perfect for getting those small details carved into lino. They glide through the material like it's a hot knife going through butter. I like to do more intricate designs and that can be difficult with my speedball carving tool. These tools have been a game-changer for me. If you're on the fence because of the price, well, I can appreciate that. This set is expensive. However, it FEELS expensive. The handles are solid, and the tools are sharp. I also love the wooden storage box for the tools. When they do get a bit dull (which they haven't yet) you can get the sharpening tool, which I have not done but I will be purchasing eventually. I've probably carved about 5 designs so far and the tools are still sharp. Personally, I wouldn't expect them to dull that quickly anyway but it depends on what you're carving and how often. So if you have to carve detailed intricate designs, this set is worth the money. If you're just doing a little bit of block printing for a hobby... Well, this is a nice treat but you could get by with cheaper tools. Just... it's so nice to have these! Totally recommend.

They arrived ahead of delivery time & are exactly what I needed.
