Better Homes and Gardens 32-Piece Square Dinnerware Set, Red

I've been looking for just the right dinnerware for a while and had about given up. I saw this set of dishes on Amazon a few months ago and added them to my wish list until I could look at them more closely. After thinking about it for a while, I decided to go ahead and buy them. They arrived two days earlier than expected in excellent condition. As I opened each box the pieces were in I got more and more impressed with the quality of the set. The dinner plates are huge compared to my old set. The first time we used them we put way too much food on the plate and felt like gluttons. 🤭 The upward sloping edges are a great help to my husband as he is legally blind and constantly spilling if he's not careful. He's much more confident now when he eats and jokes about not having to wear his 'old man's bib' anymore. I'm very grateful for that. The salad plates are actually big enough to be used as dinner plates. Seriously, they truly are a very large size. We love them. The bowls are deceptively small looking, but they hold a lot of food. I was amazed at how much soup a bowl holds. My husband is an ice cream fanatic and thinks the bowls are a gift from heaven. 😄 The cups are smaller than we both prefer, but those of you who don't guzzle coffee by the gallon will find them just your size. What I love about them is their unusual shape. They look like a typical cup until you look into them and realize the inside is more squarish than round. My quirky personality finds this perfect and suits me just fine. The whole set is very well made. They're heavier than my old set and took some time for me to adjust to that difference, especially after putting some food on them. I am concerned about banging them on something and chipping them because of their weight but I suspect in time I'll adjust and not consider it a problem. The color scheme in my kitchen is black, white, and Coke Cola red as I'm a Coke collector. The main reason these dishes caught my eye was because of them being red and black. It's always rather iffy to buy something like this online because it's hard to judge how bright or dark the red is, or if they're more orange than red, etc. I took a chance on this set because I love the look of them and decided to trust I wouldn't be disappointed, and I'm not! I'd buy this set from this merchant again without any worry of being disappointed. I really couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Awesome set. The perfect amount of dishes. Great for entertaining. Durable. I've had them for a few weeks now and there is no chipping of color or scratches from using the silverware, which is perfect for me and my OCD issues. The bowls are the perfect depth, I get a great amount of cereal and milk without spillage or having to go for a second bowl. Only thing is that the larger plates can't fit in my microwave. Well they fit but it won't be able to turn. But I'm okay with that because I rarely utilize the microwave and if I do use it I usually use paper plates.

Really like my new dishes. I like the black color on the inside of the coffee cups, now no visible coffee stains. plates are big, I use the salad plate for dinner. Really like the curve on the edge of the plates nothing runs off.

I was wanting emphasize red in my kitchen after purchasing some Le Creuset cookware. I very carefully measured the depth of my kitchen cabinets to make sure they would fit. I believe my upper cabinets to be shallower than many. I purchased these dishes because I like square dishes. However... The one place I did not measure was my dishwasher. When standing in the dishwasher more than a few inches in from the outside perimeter, the arm that twirls around spreading the water and soap on everything can not swing. It runs into the dishes. Also, the dishes are curved up slightly and they do not really fit easily into the dishwasher slots. Also, the cereal bowl is an awkward size to fit into the dishwasher. I have had them now for a while, and have worked out the issues in my own ways but I find that I am washing dishes more often as a result. I still like them and like the way they look. I'm just saying...

Be extremely careful when hand washing. You can barely tap an edge and it'll chip. Unfortunately I ended up buying 2 sets. And an update to this review. I have tried contacting the seller and was unable to get past Amazon Assistance messaging system to do so. Unless you want to buy something that chips easily that'll need replaced again don't buy. I ordered 2 sets and highly regret it.

This was a great price for a whole house full plus several guests set of dishware. The color is vibrant and each plate/bowl is big enough for a full portion and then some. Very happy with this purchase.

Sometimes, when ordering things like dishes, they don't arrive in the condition you'd like them to. However, this was packed extremely well. None of the dishes were scratched or cracked. They are sturdy and heavy. They stand up to my child, my dishwasher, my steak knives, and the shipping they went through. I bought two sets and may come back for more.

The product itself is great, however I paid for 32 pieces and only received half, 16 pieces.
